FirmTech for Clinicians

Methodology

How this site ranks and compares rings

FirmTech ranks and compares its rings on three stated criteria, applied identically to every ring: whether it records clinical data, safe wear time, and price.

Last updated: Published by FirmTech, the maker of the rings it covers

How are the rankings on this site decided?

Every FirmTech ring is judged on the same three criteria, in the same order, using only FirmTech’s published product facts. Ties on one criterion are decided by the next. The rankings are written by FirmTech, which makes every ring compared, so they are not independent reviews.

Criteria

The three criteria, in order

  1. Criterion 1

    Clinical data

Does the ring record data a clinician can review? This is weighted first because this site serves clinicians.

  2. Criterion 2

    Safe wear time

The maximum wear time FirmTech publishes for each ring.

  3. Criterion 3

    Price

FirmTech retail price as of the date on the page.

Where do the facts come from?

Product facts, prices, wear times, warranties and fit limits come from FirmTech product pages on getfirmtech.com. Ratings are stated exactly as published, with the review count and an "as of" date. Research figures are quoted word for word from the named paper or article, with a link. Company figures such as erections analyzed and rings sold are labeled as FirmTech’s own.

Dates: every main page shows a "Last updated" line. This build was updated November 3, 2026. We only change that date when the page content changes.

Apply the criteria yourself in the ranked ring guide, or read who publishes this site.

FAQ

Common questions

Short answers to what clinicians and patients ask most. Read all 48 answers in the full FAQ.

Which FirmTech ring should I choose?

Choose the TechRing if you want performance support plus data on every session and every night. Choose the Performance Ring for a simple, comfortable ring you can wear up to 12 hours. Choose the MaxPR for the tightest fit and most intensity in sessions of up to 90 minutes. All three are doctor designed and use the same peno-scrotal shape.

What is the difference between the Performance Ring and the MaxPR?

Both cost $60 and share the same doctor-designed peno-scrotal shape. The Performance Ring has a comfort fit rated 3 of 5 for tightness and is safe to wear up to 12 hours. The MaxPR is slimmer and snugger, rated 5 of 5, for maximum firmness and more intense orgasms, with a safe wear time of up to 90 minutes.

Is the TechRing worth $275 over a $60 ring?

It depends on whether the data matters to you. The TechRing does what a performance ring does and adds sensors, an app and nighttime erection tracking, plus a 1-year warranty instead of 3 months. If you only want firmer, longer erections, the Performance Ring or MaxPR delivers that for $60.

How many erections has FirmTech analyzed?

FirmTech reports more than 308,000 erections analyzed as of November 2026, which it describes as the largest erection database on earth, and more than 40,000 rings sold. These are FirmTech’s own figures, published on its clinical studies page, not the result of an independent audit.
